Family Fun Celebration

Mad Hatters descended on Matlock park for a tea party celebration on Saturday. The cafe in Hall Leys Park marked a decade in business by joining forces with arts organisation Matlock Live to host an Alice In Wonderland-themed day of family fun. Kate Lane, who owns the cafe, said she wanted to give something back to her loyal customers and offered free tea and coffee all day. Activities on offer included a Mad Hatters Tea Party, a fancy dress parade, face painting, children's storytelling, live performances, fair ground rides, a bouncy slide, barbecue and a giant Scalextric.
